It is half term this week so there is no Verdi class tomorrow and no Northern Renaissance on Thursday but there will be German History on Friday because the tutor is not having a half term.
I have got some Northern Renaissance homework to do and I did look at it but didn't get very far. I have to choose something like a piece of art, sculpture or architecture or event that we haven't so far talked about or something we have talked about but I would like to talk more about. Perhaps tomorrow or even tonight after tea I will have another look.
Anybody who may be anxious or wondering or just interested, I felt some after effects of the Covid jab but not until I woke up in the the middle of the night or early hours and it felt like I had flu, my legs were like willows and weak and I had a bit of a headache. However when I got up this morning that flu feeling and the headache had gone but I am a bit tired today. So I am assuming the immune system has kicked in in response to the vaccine. It would be a bit sad if it did nothing.
I went food shopping this afternoon, saw nobody and Waitrose was deserted. Normally at half term it is heaving with parents and children. It made me get all nostalgic and I started to think wouldn't it be nice if some things stayed like lockdown has given us and to return to the 1950s when going out meant fish and chips, a day out to Yarmouth, speedway. greyhound racing, Carrow Road and a day of rest on Sunday. Life was so much simpler then.
IPlayer Recommendation: Edie. Film. 2017. I just spotted this is on BBC Iplayer. Starring Sheila Hancock, an old lady whose world is falling apart wants to do one last walk in the Highlands, I think. I have seen it at the cinema and liked it. Not entirely satisfactory but definitely worth watching. Sheila Hancock does not disappoint. I am now watching it. Better than the 6pm News.
