Breathers: A Zombie's Lament

I'm finishing up Breathers by S.G. Browne and thought I would say a few words about this book. It's a story about a zombie named Andy Warner, former husband and father, who lost his wife in a car crash. After coming back to life as a reanimated corpse, he's not allowed to see his daughter and is forced to live in his parent's wine cellar. His only outlet is his weekly Undead Anonymous meetings with other fellow zombies. This is where he makes a few close friends and meets his zombie girlfriend, Rita. Existence is pretty miserable until Andy and Rita discover that eating Breather heals their wounds and makes them stronger. Everything is going smoothly until Andy kills and eats his parents, and he and his friends have to work together and hide the evidence. A story of self-discovery and romance, a look into the "human" side of being a zombie...

A wonderful dark comedy, filled with laughs, gore, and hot and steamy zombie sex. A must read!
